Exit the M4 at junction 32 and join the A470 (signposted Merthyr Tydfil). Continue on the A470 taking the 3rd exit at the first roundabout (signposted Ystrad Mynach) and then the 1st exit at the second roundabout (signposted Aberfan) onto the A4054. Follow the A4054 for approximately 2 miles then turn left off Cardiff Road onto the B4285 heading towards Nixonville. After 0.6miles, turn left onto Aberfan Road and arrive at The Aberfan.

Head southwards on the A4054 through Pentrebach and Troedyrhiw then turn right onto the B4285 (signposted Aberfan). Continue for approximately 2 miles arrive at The Aberfan.

Continue along the Taff Trail until you reach the Aberfan marker and the cemetary. Come down off the trail following the bending road onto Aberfan Road and diagonally opposite The Aberfan.
